Who we are

Nacora Studios Ltd is a company registered in England and Wales, United Kingdom. Nacora Studios Ltd is the data controller for personal data collected through this website. You can reach us at hello@nacorastudios.com.

What we collect

When you send an enquiry through our contact form or by email we collect your name, email address, company name, website address, what you tell us about your project, your timeline and, if you choose to share it, your budget range.

When you visit the site, our hosting provider records limited technical data automatically: IP address, browser and device type, and which pages you requested.

Why we use it, and our lawful basis

We use enquiry details to reply to you, discuss your project and prepare proposals. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests, specifically responding to a business enquiry you have made of us.

We use technical data to keep the site running securely and to understand how it performs. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests.

If you agree to receive occasional updates from us, we send those on the basis of your consent. Every message carries an unsubscribe link.

Cookies and third-party files

This site does not set analytics or advertising cookies. It loads its typefaces from Google Fonts and a 3D graphics library from cdnjs, which is run by Cloudflare. When your browser fetches these files, those providers receive your IP address. Google's privacy notice is at policies.google.com/privacy.

Who we share it with

We don't sell your data. We share it only with the suppliers who run our systems:

  • Netlify, which hosts this website, keeps basic server logs and receives the enquiries sent through our contact form.
  • Google, for email and for the typefaces on this site.
  • Cloudflare, which serves the 3D graphics library through cdnjs.

Some of these providers process data outside the UK. Where that happens, the transfer is covered by the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or by an adequacy decision.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that don't become projects: 24 months, then deleted. Client project records: six years after the engagement ends, to meet accounting and tax obligations. Marketing consents: until you withdraw them.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, or receive it in a portable format. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time. Email hello@nacorastudios.com and we'll respond within one month.

Complaints

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, tell us first so we can put it right. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk, on 0303 123 1113, or by post to Wycliffe House, Water Lane, Wilmslow, SK9 5AF.

Terms of use

Site content

The content on this site, including text, images, and video, is owned by Nacora or used under license. You may not copy, redistribute, or use it for commercial purposes without our written permission.

Project terms

Each film project is governed by a separate statement of work or production agreement. Fees, timelines, deliverables, and usage rights are agreed in writing before production begins. The general information on this site does not form part of any contract.

Liability

This site is provided for information only. We make no guarantees about specific outcomes from working with us, and any liability is limited to the terms agreed in the relevant project contract.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. The version published here is the one that currently applies.

Rights & usage

What you receive

On delivery, you receive the final film in the agreed formats (typically broadcast-ready video files and social cutdowns). You also receive a usage rights memo that sets out what is licensed for the project.

Typical licence scope

Unless otherwise agreed, the client receives a broad licence to use the final film for the agreed channels, territories, and duration. Common uses include paid social, website, events, TV, and OOH.

What is not included

  • Reselling the film as stock footage or a standalone product.
  • Using the film to train or create derivative AI datasets without permission.
  • Removing or altering credits or branding where agreed.

Third-party assets

We use licensed music, stock footage, and AI-generated elements where appropriate. These are cleared to the scope agreed in the project. If you need wider clearance, let us know before production starts.

Revisions

Our standard process includes two rounds of revision, built into the timeline. Additional rounds or major scope changes may affect the schedule and cost.

Modern slavery statement

This statement sets out the steps Nacora Studios Ltd takes to prevent modern slavery and human trafficking in our business and supply chain. We're not required to publish it under the Modern Slavery Act 2015, as our turnover is below the threshold, but we publish it because our clients ask about the people behind their films.

Our business

Nacora Studios Ltd is a registered company in the United Kingdom and a film production studio based in Cambridge. We're a small team, led by our two founders, and we hire freelance crew for each production.

Our supply chain

Our main suppliers are freelance crew (camera, lighting, sound, editing, design), equipment and studio hire, location owners, production partners in Bulgaria, and software, music and stock licensing providers. Most of our suppliers are in the UK and the EU.

What we do

  • We agree written terms with every freelancer and supplier before work starts.
  • We pay crew at or above the National Minimum Wage, and on time.
  • We check the right to work of anyone we engage directly in the UK.
  • We work with established production partners we know personally, and ask them to confirm they follow the same standards.
  • We'll stop working with any supplier where we find evidence of forced labour, trafficking or child labour.

Raising a concern

If you have a concern about anyone working on a Nacora production, email hello@nacorastudios.com. We'll treat it in confidence and respond within five working days.

This statement was approved by the directors of Nacora Studios Ltd and is reviewed every year.

If anything here is unclear, email us at hello@nacorastudios.com and we'll update this page or send you the relevant project terms.
